Join ICA LA for a POV Tour of Speaking in Tongues led by artist Miljohn Ruperto. Through an interdisciplinary practice that draws from art, science, history, and mythology, Ruperto examines how systems of knowledge shape our understanding of the world around us. This guided tour invites participants to consider Speaking in Tongues through questions of translation, interpretation, and the many ways we construct meaning across cultures and time.
Miljohn Ruperto (b.1971 Manila, Philippines) lives and works in Los Angeles, USA.
Ruperto develops approaches to interrogating and expanding our conception of nature and history: e.g. historiography, the history of nature, and the nature of nature.
